This Tuesday (09) the Macapá Basketball League (LBM) will be holding another program: the Amapaense Under-23 Basketball Championship. The opening match of the sporting event will be at the Glicério Marques Sports Complex.

In total, six teams will be participating in the competition, three federated (ABAP, ADR Fátima, Amauto EC) and three guests (Life Fit, RBD and RB Fazendinha). All in the male suit, as only one female team signed up.

The matches will take place at the Avertino Ramos Gymnasium and the Glicério Marques Sports Complex. There will be two games per day and five per round. The first game will be between RBD x Life Fit, at 7pm, and the second will play ADR Fátima x ABAP, at 8:30pm, this Tuesday.

According to Pablo Barreto, one of the event organizers, the expectation is to make the category champion known and for the sport to have more visibility. “We want to become the state champion in the under-23 category, which had its last edition in 2016 where ADR Fátima Basketball was champion. We want it to be a peaceful championship and that we can increasingly strengthen the sport in the state”, he said.
