Amazonas FC and Manauara EC close the first phase with victories and FAF defines knockout duels

Manaus (AM) – With victories by Amazonas FC and Manauara EC over São Raimundo and Unidos do Alvorada, respectively, in addition to the draw between Princesa do Solimões and Operário, the first phase of the first round of the Amazonense Football Championship ended this Wednesday (7). While Onça beat Tufão da Colina 3-0, at the Ismael Benigno stadium, Colina, Robô thrashed the team from the Alvorada neighborhood, at the Carlos Zamith stadium, 5-0; in the Manacapuru derby, everything equal 1-1, at the Gilbertão stadium.

With the end of the first phase of Barezão’s first round, the knockout duels were known. Furthermore, the Amazon Football Federation (FAF) has already defined the date, time and location of the knockout matches. The decisive phase of the first round will take place on Saturday (10), with three games, and Sunday (11), with a duel. The home teams (to the left of the confrontation at the end of the article) will have the advantage of a draw, in a single game, to advance to the semi-final.

Convincing victory

Amazonas achieved its second victory in the Amazonense Championship. Rafael Tavares, William Barbio and Xavier scored the goals for the Aurinegro team at Colina. At the end of the duel, midfielder Xavier, who scored the third goal, was elected “Caboco do Jogo”, an award offered by the Amazon Football Federation (FAF) to the best player of the match, through votes from three press professionals present at the match.

Onça finished at the top of group A, with eight points, and, therefore, will have the advantage of a draw against Operário, at home, to advance to the semi-finals.

Orange victory

Manauara took the initiative throughout the game, dominated the actions, but only became disenchanted in the second half. Paulinho, Neto, twice, Diego Clemente and Jonathan Moc, all in the final stage of the game, found the net for Robô da Amazônia in the rout against Operário, at Zamith. At the end of the duel, striker Michael Paulista, who provided three assists, was named Caboco do Jogo.

The rout made Manauara reach ten points, in second place in group B, and advance to face São Raimundo in the quarter-finals. Due to their best campaign, Robô plays as home team and will also have the advantage of a draw in the knockout stage.
