This will be the second adjustment of Amazon Prime in Brazil. The first had been announced in May 2022, when the price rose from R$9.90 to R$14.90 per month. At the time, the change represented a 50% increase in the monthly fee. In the statement about the new change, the platform informed that users will be able to postpone the adjustment if they change their subscription to the annual plan until March 7th. When choosing this modality, you must pay R$119 at once (the equivalent of R$9.92 per month). For users in the United States, Amazon has started showing ads on your streaming video. The company stated that the change, valid since January 29, was made to maintain investments in content, according to the website The Verge.
