Amapá wins silver and bronze in the Brazilian Under-17 School Futsal Championship – News of Brazil

Between the 18th and 26th of November, Salvador (BA) hosted the Brazilian Under-17 School Futsal Championship and Amapá was participating in the competition and returned with medals for men and women.

The women’s team won a silver medal. In the first game the girls won and the second was WO. In the third game they won and went to the final and lost 3-1 to Sergipe, taking silver.

The boys won bronze in the competition. In the first game they won the match by WO, drew the second and ended up losing in the semi-final to the Acre team, taking bronze.

The women’s team is made up of student-athletes from Fazendinha, and the men’s team from the municipality of Pracuúba. The teams represented Amapá as they were champions of the Amapá School Games.

This initiative was carried out by the Ministry of Sports and the Superintendency of Sports of the State of Bahia, in partnership with the Brazilian Confederation of Indoor Football and has the support of the Amapaense Federation of School Sports (Fade), Amapaense Federation of Indoor Football (Fafs), State Department of Education (Seed) and State Department of Sports and Leisure (Sedel), which covered the travel expenses of the entire delegation, showing the state’s commitment to the sporting development of its young talents.
