Amapá referee Thaillan Azevedo completes CBF VAR course – News of Brazil

The Amapá referee Thaillan Azevedo The VAR 2024 Approval Course, promoted by the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF), ended.

Thaillan was the representative of the state of Amapá in the qualification that was held in Rio de Janeiro, between January 29th and February 2nd, in the structures of the Brazilian Arbitration Center of Excellence (CEAB).

The referee from Amapá received professional training to work with the video arbitration system (VAR). With the completion of the course, Thaillan is approved to officiate any competition using VAR technology, mainly series B and A, Copa do Brasil among other competitions.

Thaillan is one of the most experienced and qualified referees in the state, having played in several matches in series C and D of the Brazilian Championship, in addition to the Amapaense Championship. In September 2023, he participated in the CBF Referee Interseason and received the assistant certificate from the International Football Federation (FIFA).

In his speech, Thaillan thanked the support of FAF and CBF for the invitation and the training opportunity. “With this course, I am approved to officiate any competition using VAR technology, mainly series B and A, Copa do Brasil, among other competitions.”said Thaillan.
