Amapá hosts arbitration course and wrestling clinic – News of Brazil

Amapá has been hosting, since this Friday (12), the arbitration course and arbitration clinic wrestling. The training, which lasts 10 days, is carried out by the State Secretariat for Sports and Leisure (Sedel) and has the support of the Amapá Federation of Wrestling, Brazilian Confederation of wrestling and Integrated Training and Improvement Academy (AIFA).

In total, 100 people are participating in the program, which according to the secretary Rudney Cunha, It is a way to further promote sport in Amapá. “We have to grow even more with this modality and surpass athletes from São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, who are ahead of us in the national rankings. We are moving forward and we really want to take our athletes to the World Cup. the state has been well regarded in the sport, winning many things – we thank the governor who helped us bring these coaches and referees.”said the Sedel manager.

The objective is to train professionals to act as referees in competitions and promote technical and tactical aspects of the sport. The training will include practical and theoretical classes.

The Iranian coach Morteza Alizadeh, With extensive experience in school wrestling, he will lead a seminar for coaches from April 11th to 21st. Referees Karoline Santana and Marco Dantas will lead the arbitration course from April 11th to 14th.

In addition to the seminar and the course, there will be the state selection for the Under-18 Brazilian School Games (JEB’s), on Sunday (14) and Monday (15), to define Amapá’s representatives in the competition, as explained by the vice-president of the Amapá School Sports Federation (FADE), Rogério Moreira.

“The Federation, in partnership with Sedel, will be selecting our athletes for the JEB’s, where we will take advantage of the referees who will train here for the selective. We are at the peak of wrestling in Amapá and we hope that our representatives win the national championship and can go to Bahrain, at the Gymnasiade 2024”he stated.
