President of FAF, Ednailson Rozenha stated that the increase in attendance at Amazonian stadiums is the realization of a dream

Manaus (AM) – Heading to the semi-finals of the first round, the 2024 Amazonense Championship has already reached a higher paying audience than the entire 2023 edition. In 29 games so far, this year’s Barezão had 17,769 paying audiences, a number 11.18% higher than the 15,982 paying players in the 50 matches of the State Championship last year.

Among the explanations for this significant increase in fans in the stadiums are the new features introduced by the Amazon Football Federation (FAF) for Barezão 2024. In addition to the standardization of ticket prices and stadium operations on game days, the entity will draw lots final of the championship, a new car for a fan who has attended at least one match.

The president of the FAF, Ednailson Rozenha, stated that the increase in attendance at Amazonian stadiums is the realization of a dream. According to him, this is just the beginning of what he calls the recovery of credibility and pride in Baré football.

“Everyone passionate about Amazonian football, who never gave up believing that we would turn things around, dreamed of living in a moment like this, a local team in the second national division and fans back in the stadiums to support our clubs. It is, without a doubt, a dream come true. We are only in the second year of our management, so, believe me, we will advance even further. We are rescuing the credibility and pride of supporting Amazonian football”,

completed the agent.

Attractive championship

Resident of Rio Preto da Eva and fan of RPE Parintins, Eudson Max commented on the new moment in Amazonian football and highlighted the reasons that have attracted fans to the stadiums in this historic edition of Barezão.

“In my opinion, this is the most attractive championship in the last 20 years. The fact that we have a team in Series B, new clubs, stadiums in the capital and in the interior, we see more professionalism. The fact that we have players who even played for the Brazilian team participating in the championship, we realize that it certainly attracted fans even more. So, I believe that this set of situations is making the championship more attractive, mainly due to the organization of the teams and the championship itself. And there’s also the car raffle, which is also a big attraction,”

declared the Tourão fan.

Last Saturday (10), the duel between RPE Parintins and Princesa do Solimões, valid for the quarterfinals of the first round of Barezão, had the biggest audience of the competition so far. On that occasion, 2,207 people were at the Francisco Garcia Stadium, in Rio Preto da Eva, and watched the home team’s classification, after a 3-0 victory.

The ball rolls again for the biggest Barezão of all time this Friday (16), at 8 pm, when Amazonas and Nacional duel for a place in the final of the first round, at Arena da Amazônia. The following day, also at 8pm, it is the turn of RPE Parintins and São Raimundo to measure forces, at Francisco Garcia, in Terra da Laranja.
