Young French football player is in Athletico’s sights for 2024

O Athletico monitors the situation of young Luís Henrique, 22 years old, who belongs to Olympique de Marseille, in France. The information was initially released by La Minute OM. However, competition is heavy for Furacão. According to the president of the French club, Pablo Longoria, eight more clubs, including Brazilian and European, showed interest in the young man.

Revealed in professional football by Botafogo, the striker, who plays on the wing, is out of the French club’s plans, even though he has a contract until 2026. In the current season, Luís Henrique only played for Fogão. There were 59 matches, with six goals scored and four assists given.

Luís Henrique was sold by Botafogo to Olympique de Marseille in 2020. There were two seasons at the French club and only one goal scored. The loan back to Fogão took place last year.

So far, Athletico has two completed signings: defender Mateo Gamarra, ex-Olimpia, and striker Romeo Benítez, ex-Guaraní.
