World Cup: PT and PL charge Tarcísio for optional point – 07/24/2023 – Panel

After the PL, now it is the PT to charge the governor of São Paulo, Tarcísio de Freitas (Republicans), to decree an optional point in games of the Brazilian women’s team in the World Cup.

In a letter sent to Tarcísio, the leader of the party in the Legislative Assembly, Paulo Fiorilo, criticizes the governor’s silence on the subject.

“Because the Brazilian team has already made its debut today, without any information or regulations having been made official with public servants and services by the state administration, we are hereby requesting this information in order to guarantee equal treatment between the men’s and women’s championships, in order to encourage the women’s team that represents us so well in the 2023 Fifa World Cup”, says the document.

The letter recalls that the government of Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) determined that on days when the national team is playing, the start of the public service can start two hours after the normal time. He also says that in the men’s Cup, last year, there was a dismissal of employees by the state government.

Last Thursday (20), a deputy from the base of Tarcísio, Thiago Auricchio (PL), asked the governor to decree an optional point due to the games. President of the Constitution and Justice Commission of the Assembly, the main one in the House, he had not received a response to his letter until this Monday (24).
