International newspapers published excerpts from the woman’s testimony to the Spanish court
The 23-year-old Spanish woman, who accuses Daniel Alves of sexual assault, according to ‘El País’, has refused to receive any compensation if the player is convicted. She stated in a statement to the police that she does not want financial gain, but rather that justice be done.
The newspapers “El País” and “El Mundo”, from Madrid, and “El Periódico” from Barcelona published excerpts from the testimony given to the Justice by the woman. It contains details of the sexual assault charge against Daniel Alves.
According to the victim, she was at the Sutton nightclub in Barcelona when she did not recognize Daniel Alves. A group of Mexicans, friends of the player, introduced him to the whistleblower. She and the right-back danced together until the player allegedly took her hand to his penis. Around 4:30 am, he asked her to follow him to a door. It would be the entrance to a bathroom, where the aggression would have occurred.
The whistleblower claims that she tried to leave the bathroom, but was prevented by the player. He also claims to the court that she penetrated him violently until he ejaculated. Local security was informed of the incident, but Daniel Alves had already left the club.
The victim underwent tests at a hospital and, according to the vehicles, the presence of semen was detected on her dress.
Daniel Alves was sent this Friday to Brians I prison, about 30km from Barcelona. Arrested for a complaint of sexual assault, the player, according to sources heard by the Spanish newspaper “El Periódico”, remained silent and showed a lot of depression. This Saturday he will undergo interviews and bureaucratic procedures, which will define which part of the prison he will be transferred to.
Also according to “El Periódico”, This Friday, Daniel Alves, as soon as he arrived at the prison, underwent the procedure for collecting fingerprints and photos. During the entire procedure he barely said a word.
While he is not assigned to an area of the prison, he will spend his days in the pre-trial detainees’ ward. Per prison protocol, he spent the night accompanied by other inmates in the same condition as him.
This Saturday (21), the player received a visit from family members, who took personal objects. In addition, he will be examined by a doctor, a psychologist, a lawyer and prison monitors. All these interviews are also part of the protocol. Based on them, the location of the prison where Daniel Alves will be sent will be designated. The only stage skipped was the interview with the social worker because it is already known that the player does not live in a condition of social vulnerability.
