As part of the Amazonas Meu Lar program, the action benefits 560 residents from 10 neighborhoods and communities in Manaus

Manaus (AM) – Governor Wilson Lima delivered, this Thursday (21), another 560 definitive property titles to residents of 10 neighborhoods and communities in Manaus, reaching the mark of 1,600 documents of this type delivered in 2023 alone. land ownership is part of Amazonas Meu Lar, the largest housing program in history carried out by the State Government.

According to the governor, the delivery of the definitive title is a Christmas gift for families who have been waiting for years for the document, which legally guarantees ownership of the property, allowing the owner to seek credit to finance construction, renovation and expansion. In addition to establishing the condition of legal inheritance, the title also contributes to the appreciation of both the property and the land.

“Now you will have the peace of mind that the place you live, the little piece of land you have is yours, it will belong to your children, it will belong to your grandchildren and you will no longer have that fear that, the next day, someone could get there with a court decision for you to leave“,

highlighted Governor Wilson Lima, highlighting that the document promotes dignity for citizens.

The title delivery action, the last one this year, 2023, carried out through the Secretariat of State for Cities and Territories (Sect), took place at the Amazonas Convention Center – Vasco Vasques 2, in the center-south area of the capital.

Participating in the delivery were vice-governor Tadeu de Souza; state deputy Débora Menezes; councilor Márcio Tavares; mayors Gamaliel Andrade (Tapauá) and Frederico Júnior (Novo Airão); the state secretaries of Sect, João Braga, and of Urban Development (Sedurb), which coordinates Amazonas Meu Lar, Marcellus Campêlo, and the director-president of the Housing Superintendence (Suhab), Jivago Castro.

Among the recipients are residents of the neighborhoods of Alvorada, Nova Esperança, Redenção, Campos Sales Community – Tarumã (west zone); Zumbi dos Palmares, Ouro Verde Community – Coroado, Nova Vitória Community – Gilberto Mestrinho and Jorge Teixeira (east zone), Monte das Oliveiras and Boas Novas Community – Cidade Nova (north zone).

The property regularization documents delivered are part of the Technical Cooperation Agreement signed between the State Government and the Court of Justice of the State of Amazonas (TJAM), in June this year, to speed up the issuance of the document, advancing the policy of land regularization in Amazonas and reducing decades of waiting for the population.

This is the case of Honorina Ramiro Marinho, 78, who has lived in the Nova Esperança neighborhood for 53 years, waiting for the ownership document for her property, where she raised her eight children.

“I thank God very much. He is the first governor who looked after us to deliver this document. Christmas present and a very blessed gift. He never had anyone to look out for us. I have eight children. Everything was born and raised there. I’m going to leave this house to my heirs. Only God will get me out of there, no one else”,

he stated.
