The Federal Police carried out this Wednesday (3) a search and seizure warrant at the address of former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL) and the arrest of his former advisers Mauro Cid and Max Guilherme.
Also targeted by an arrest warrant are Sergio Cordeiro, Bolsonaro’s security guard, Luis Marcos dos Reis, former aide-de-camp, Ailton Moraes Barros, candidate for state deputy for the PL-RJ in 2022, and João Carlos de Sousa Brecha, secretary in Duque from Caxias (RJ).
Michelle is also investigating this case.
The measures are part of an investigation, says the PF, into an alleged “criminal association formed to commit the crimes of inserting false vaccination data against Covid-19 into the SI-PNI and RNDS systems of the Ministry of Health.”

Jair Bolsonaro (search and seizure)
The former president was summoned by the Federal Police to testify this Wednesday (3) about alleged fraud in the vaccination system of the Ministry of Health. He, however, informed the PF that he will not attend the hearing.
Bolsonaro said this Wednesday morning (3) that he did not take the vaccine against Covid-19, as did his daughter, Laura Bolsonaro, and that there was no tampering with his card.
“I didn’t take the vaccine. I was never asked for a vaccine card [para entrar nos EUA]. There is no tampering on my part. I didn’t get the vaccine, period. I never denied it. There were people who pressured me to take it, naturally. But I didn’t take it, because I read the Pfizer leaflet”, said the former chief executive.
Bolsonaro was critical of vaccination against the coronavirus, spread lies on the subject and always says he has not been immunized. Now, the PF is investigating whether there has been tampering with his and his daughter’s SUS card.
Michelle Bolsonaro (investigated)
Former First Lady Michelle Bolsonaro is also being investigated by the Federal Police on suspicion of fraud in the vaccination record.
The former first lady said, through her social networks, that she and her husband do not know what motivated this Wednesday’s action and claims that, in her home, only she was vaccinated.
“We found out, through the press, that the reason would be ‘falsification of the vaccine card’ of my husband and our daughter, Laura. In my house, only ME was vaccinated”, wrote Michelle in Instagram Stories.
Mauro Cid (arrested)
The colonel was a kind of Bolsonaro’s right-hand man, a relationship that led him to be in the sights of the PF.
He was one of those indicted for leaking the calculation used by Bolsonaro in a broadcast on August 4, 2021, in which he contested the security of the electoral system and raised suspicion of fraud in the 2018 elections.
Information obtained from Cid’s breach of telematic secrecy also indicated participation in the live on October 21, 2021 in which Bolsonaro made a false association between vaccination against Covid and the development of AIDS.
Arrested this Wednesday, Cid is also investigated in the digital militias inquiry for suspicious transactions in favor of Bolsonaro, also discovered by the PF after the breach of telematic and bank secrecy.

Both Max and Cordeiro are one of eight advisor positions to which Bolsonaro is entitled as former president of the Republic. The latter was even the one who lent the house to the former representative to perform lives during the election campaign, when he was prohibited from doing them at Palácio da Alvorada.
They also accompanied Bolsonaro on his season in the United States, after losing the election. Max was still by the former president’s side on his first trips through Brazil and on the tours he has been taking in Brasília, such as the military college.
Sergeant of the Military Police of Rio de Janeiro and former member of Bope, Max Guilherme was assigned to act in Bolsonaro’s security in November 2018, still during the transitional government of the then president-elect. After taking office, he became part of the president’s personal cabinet.

Federal Deputy Gutemberg Reis, MDB-RJ (search and seizure)
The Secretary of Government of Duque de Caxias was arrested this Wednesday morning.
The head of the vaccination center in the city of Baixada Fluminense, Cláudia Helena Acosta Rodrigues da Silva, was also taken to give testimony at the PF headquarters in Rio.
Both are part of the political group of the former mayor of the city, Washington Reis, an ally of Bolsonaro.
Caxias was one of the cities in the state that most accelerated the first stages of vaccination against Covid, in 2021, without following the order of priorities suggested by the Ministry of Health.
The former mayor’s brother, federal deputy Gutemberg Reis (MDB-RJ) was also targeted in the operation. Against him, the PF fulfilled a search and operation warrant at an address of the congressman in Rio. Reis, however, was in Brasilia.
The second prisoner in Rio was the military Ailton Gonçalves Moraes Barros, who was elected as an alternate for the Alerj (Legislative Assembly of Rio de Janeiro). He ran for the PL and called himself “Bolsonaro’s 01” in the state.
