In a document sent to the press, La Liga stated that, since the creation of the Department of Integrity and Security of the League, in the 2015/16 season, “more than a dozen incidents / racist actions linked to LaLiga games have been confirmed. cases were investigated and/or reported to the competent bodies and instances”.
Of the 13 cases mentioned in the text, 9 had Vinicius Junior as a victim in the stadiums. And only on two occasions were racists identified and punished: in the Real Madrid game against Valladolid, on December 30, 2022, when 11 fans were identified and prosecuted by Valladolid, and in the duel against Mallorca, on February 5, 2023, when a local fan was fined 4,000 euros (R$ 21,400) and banned from entering the stadium for a year.
The cases against Vinicius Junior, according to LaLiga itself:
- Clasico against Barcelona, at Camp Nou, on October 24, 2021: La Liga lodged a complaint with the Barcelona Hate Crimes Prosecutor for racist chants. No one has been identified.
- Game in Mallorca, at the Son Moix stadium, on March 14, 2022: La Liga lodged a complaint with the Barcelona Hate Crimes Prosecutor for racist chants. There is no information that the culprits have been identified.
- Classic against Atlético de Madrid, at the Cívitas Metropolitano stadium, on September 18, 2022: The complaint was made for the racist screams against the Brazilian. The process was archived by the Public Ministry of Hate because the responsible were not identified.
