Vigex company is sued by the Public Ministry of Labor accused of receiving and not paying its employees – News of Brazil

The Labor Attorney’s Office in the Municipality of Macapá, an agency of the Public Ministry of Labor (MPT), received a complaint against the surveillance company Vigex, accused of committing labor irregularities by receiving money from the state government and not paying its employees. Due to irregularities, the company lost the contract it had with the Amapá government at the Administration Secretariat (Sead).
According to the complaint received by the MPT, the Security Guards Union (Sindiviap) filed a collective labor action against Vigex, having signed an agreement whereby the government of Amapá would deposit in the files the amount of R$ 1,190,332.96, money that it would then be released to Vigex’s lawyer, Paulo Vitor Oliveira dos Santos, for payment of those replaced linked to the contract maintained between the defendant company and possible tax and social security payments, referring to salaries for December/2022, July/2023 and August/2023, owing add the necessary proof to the file within 48 hours, according to the spreadsheet to be attached by the defendant Vigex.
On December 19th, according to the complaint, the permit was issued in the amount of R$ 1,191,411.65 in the name of the company’s lawyer, who was supposed to pay the 104 workers replaced in the collective action. Some received two months, others one month, and some received no month at all.
The complainants informed the Public Ministry of Labor that they contacted the company Vigex, which responded that the issue should not be dealt with with them, but with the union. They were assisted by the union, which stated that it would officiate the OAB Amapá in light of the conduct of the surveillance company’s boss.
There was a promise, which would have been made by Vigex’s lawyer, that all 104 workers would be paid by December 22nd, which did not happen. In view of this, they decided to request action from the Public Ministry of Labor, to intervene in the case, within the authority of the body.
