Video: PF seizes weapons in action against suspects of the 8/1 – 05/11/2023 – Power

The PF (Federal Police) carried out this Thursday (11) the 11th phase of Operation Lesa Pátria to identify people who financed and fomented the coup attacks of January 8.

For the action, authorized by the Federal Supreme Court (STF), the police had 22 search and seizure warrants in São Paulo, Mato Grosso do Sul and Paraná.

Among the targets of the operation are rural producers and businessmen suspected of financing the invasions and depredations of the Planalto Palace, Congress and Supreme Court buildings.

In Mato Grosso do Sul, regularized weapons were seized from businessman Adoilto Fernandes Coronel, owner of a construction materials company.

Another target of the operation, Peter Greidanus, was arrested red-handed in Paraná on suspicion of illegally possessing a firearm.

In the interior of São Paulo, the residence of businessman Geraldo Cesar Killer was searched, and the PF seized money – the amount was not informed. He appears as a donor of R$ 10,000 to the campaign of Jair Bolsonaro (PL) and also made another donation of the same amount to Senator Marcos Pontes, former Minister of Science and Technology.

The PF operation stems from the four investigation fronts opened after the January 8 acts.

One of them targets possible intellectual authors, and it is this front that can reach Bolsonaro. Another aims to map the funders and those responsible for the logistics of the camp and transporting Bolsonaristas to Brasília.

The third focus of the PF investigation is vandals. Investigators want to identify and individualize the conduct of each of those involved in the depredation of historic buildings in the federal capital.

The fourth line of investigation advances on authorities that were omitted during the 8th of January and that facilitated the action of the coup plotters.

These investigations gave rise to the 11 ostensive phases of Lesa Pátria to date.
