Video: PF finds PCC hideout; Moro would be one of the targets – 03/22/2023 – Power

This Wednesday (22) the Federal Police found hiding places for criminals at an address targeted by an operation against a plan by the PCC faction to attack authorities. One of the targets was former judge and current senator Sergio Moro (União Brasil-PR).

The PF carries out a series of steps to dismantle a plan by the faction that intended to carry out attacks against authorities.

“On the PCC’s retaliation plans against me, my family and other public agents, I will make a statement in the afternoon from the Senate tribune. For now, I thank the PF, PM/PR, Senate and Chamber legislative police, PM/ SP, MPE/SP, and their leaders for their support and work done”, said Moro in the morning on his social networks.

The action was named Sequaz and, says the PF, aims to dismantle the group that “intended to carry out attacks against public servants and authorities, including homicides and extortion through kidnapping, in at least five units of the federation”.

As Minister of Justice for Jair Bolsonaro (PL), Moro transferred several PCC chiefs, including Marcos Willians Herbas Camacho, Marcola, to the federal penitentiary system.

The main leader of the PCC was transferred from the São Paulo state penitentiary system to the federal penitentiary in Brasília in February 2019. Months later, he went to a federal unit in Rondônia and then returned to the federal capital.

In addition to him, another 21 members of the faction’s leadership were transported at that time in an Armed Forces plane from the airport in neighboring Presidente Prudente (SP) for transfer.

The attacks against Moro and other authorities, according to the investigation, would take place simultaneously, and the main targets were in São Paulo and Paraná. In São Paulo, the target was prosecutor Lincoln Gakiya, who has been involved in investigations into the PCC’s activities for years.

24 search and seizure warrants, seven preventive arrest warrants and four temporary arrest warrants are served in Mato Grosso do Sul, Rondônia, São Paulo and Paraná.

“A homicide plan against several public agents was investigated and identified (including a senator and a prosecutor). Today the Federal Police are carrying out arrests and searches against this gang. My compliments to the PF teams for their important work”, said Minister Flávio Dino (Justice) through his social networks.
