When watching the video and comparing it with publications of the same excerpt published by the senator, it is possible to notice that the image of the post verified by Comprova was inverted and that it and the audio were slowed down. In any case, the report consulted forensic expert Mário Gazziro, professor of information engineering at UFABC (Federal University of ABC). He said it was “clear” that the audio had been altered. “It was slowed down by a factor of 10%.”

Also contacted by the report, Magno Malta said that the content is unacceptable and disrespectful. “I am a strong oppositionist on the left. Of course they will attack my reputation with lies. It is clear that the video was edited by haters,” he declared in a statement. The senator also informed that he will take appropriate legal action against the author of the content.
