Those who are preparing for the exams need to be aware of the changes in the notices of the competitions

Manaus (AM) – As of this Monday (24), registration for the entrance exam and Serial Ticket System (SIS) of the State University of Amazonas (UEA) is open, on the institution’s website www.uea.edu.br. And, according to the pedagogical coordinator of the Vector course, Albervan Cidrônio, those who are preparing for the tests need to be aware of changes in the public notices for the competitions.

“A week after the launch of the public notice, UEA published an errata announcing a reallocation of vacancies for indigenous people and people with disabilities, in addition to a 10% increase in vacancies for those who will study in the interior of the State”,

informed Cidronio.

As a result, from now on, for the entrance exam, 3,429 vacancies are being offered, 1,155 in the capital and 2,274 in the interior, 210 for indigenous people and 691 for people with disabilities. And, for the SIS, 2,257 vacancies, 770 in the capital and 1,487 in the interior, 134 for indigenous people and 451 for people with disabilities.

There are a total of 106 courses offered in 32 municipalities, between Manaus and the countryside. For the Medicine course, the most competitive at the university, there will be a total of 72 vacancies in the entrance exam that will be divided into six quotas. As for the SIS, there will be 48 vacancies, also divided into five quotas, including indigenous peoples and people with disabilities.

Another novelty is the adequacy of the test based on the guidelines of the National Common Curricular Base (BNCC).

“This is a gradual change that has been happening since last year and it shows that the UEA is attentive to the national scenario”,

highlighted the pedagogical coordinator of the Vector.

He explains that, following the new BNCC, the SIS II test no longer charges as much content as before. If before the discipline of Chemistry covered eight subjects, now the announcement brings three major topics. “There was a decrease of at least 50% in content, however, there are contents that were not charged before and now are”informed Albervan.

This change can also be felt by third-year students and even by those who have already completed high school and will take the entrance exam.

“The warning I give to candidates who are preparing for the test is to pay attention to the syllabus so as not to waste time studying subjects that are no longer part of the announcement”,

guided the teacher.

Also, this time, the SIS exams will take place before the entrance exam. They will be applied on October 22 for SIS I, II and III candidates, and October 23 (general knowledge) and October 24 (specific knowledge and writing) for candidates for the entrance exam. The list of candidates approved in the entrance exam and SIS will be released on December 7th.

Keeping an eye on preparation

To help those who are preparing for tests, the Vector course has open enrollment for the UEA Review and the National High School Exam (Enem). Classes start on August 14th, from 7:30 am to 1:00 pm, and will take place at the unit located at Avenida Via Láctea, 65, Morada do Sol complex, in Adrianópolis.

“There are 13 weeks of classes that go until the eve of the Enem and the students will have all our know-how, including didactic material, on-call questions, methodologies and simulations”,

informed the pedagogical coordinator of the Vector.

The course also has enrollments open for the SIS I and SIS II classes, which also start on August 14th. Classes will take place from 6:30 pm to 9 pm at the Adrianópolis unit. Those interested can contact the Vector through WhatsApp (92) 99312-0762.

This year alone, Vetor contributed to the approval of more than 630 students, 350 of which from Enem, 190 from UEA, and more than 90 in the Continuous Selection Process (PSC) at the Federal University of Amazonas (UFAM).
