Manaus (AM) – Goalkeeper D’Brayan Carneiro Soares, from Inter Academy, finished the Amazonense U12 Championship competition without conceding a single goal in regulation time. Due to the prominence he received, next season the 12-year-old athlete will represent Amazonas in Atlético-MG’s youth categories.

Voted best goalkeeper for Barezinho U12, D’Brayan, despite finishing runner-up, feels grateful and, despite his young age, reveals maturity by admitting his opponent’s title.

“I want to thank God. He does everything for me and gives me the strength to fight for championships and make saves. I didn’t concede a single goal in the championship, we fought hard, we couldn’t come away with the victory, but there’s always a winner, right? Today it wasn’t us, but tomorrow it could be. All in God’s time”,

he pondered.

D’Brayan also revealed that he did not intend to be a goalkeeper. The desire was to play on the line, score goals and not avoid them, but his father, Márcio Soares, known as “Frito D’Bala”, aged 39, encouraged him to train with gloves and under the goalposts.

The little goalkeeper receives unconditional support from family and friends. In all of Barezinho’s games, Arena Laranjeiras, the stage for the clashes, was taken over by D’Brayan’s fans and admirers who applauded and shouted his name. The chance in Minas Gerais football

Two months ago, businessman Fábio Vassallo, 43, owner of the company Vassallo Sports, took D’Brayan for an evaluation period at Atlético-MG. On that occasion, he was approved, returned to Manaus and competed in the Amazonense Under-12 Championship for Inter Academy. The goalkeeper will return to Belo Horizonte in February, where he will sign with the Minas Gerais club and be permanently introduced into the youth categories.

With humility, the Amazonian star spoke of the pride he feels for representing Amazonas in one of the biggest centers of Brazilian football and, in some way, making so many people’s dreams come true. He admitted that he is getting the chance of a lifetime and assured that he will do his best not to miss this opportunity.

“I’m going to represent Amazonas at Atlético-MG. I know that I carry the support and dreams of many people, especially my family, especially my father, and God willing, I will be able to become a professional and, who knows, be called up to the Brazilian team and help bring another cup. for our country.
