The cut does not affect teachers (learn more below). The benefit is a 26% increase on the salaries of more than 5,000 UnB employees. The bonus represents a quarter of the category’s salary and was a way of recovering salary losses over the years. The decision ensures that servers will not have to return the funds received so far. At the protest, the group wore black clothes and made a kind of funeral procession for the benefit. The category union said it will appeal. The decision of the STF minister applies to technical staff and does not apply to the benefit of teachers.
