Uber discloses 44 cars it will exclude; list includes up to Porsche – 05/09/2023 – Market

Uber released a list of cars that will no longer be accepted in the Comfort and Black categories starting in 2024.

Drivers who use one of those 44 cars will no longer be able to race in the company’s luxury divisions, including those who own a Porsche Cayman, Land Rover Freelander or Lexus ES.

The platform does not inform if any of these models are actually registered.

Although they are no longer allowed in the luxury categories, drivers of these models can continue to work in the cheaper racing categories.

In a note, the company explained that the vehicles allowed in the Comfort and Black categories were defined based on criteria such as greater internal space, trunk with at least 300 liters and vehicle color (for Uber Black).

To enter the Comfort category, the car must have air conditioning, four doors and five seats.

On Black, it needs to be painted black, lead, silver, gray, navy, brown or white.

The list of allowed cars can be consulted on the Uber website.
