During her training, Luisa was the victim of a head-on collision with a car, according to Sesi São Carlos, where she works. The impact resulted in multiple injuries and fractures to the tibia and femur. According to the club, the driver of the vehicle involved left the scene without providing assistance.
The athlete required emergency care and was intubated on site, reported the EPTV team, a TV Globo affiliate. Luisa was taken to Santa Casa de São Carlos in serious condition. In addition, a motorcyclist was also hit in the incident and received help for moderately complex injuries.
