Assuming the presidency of the College of Ombudsmen of Electoral Justice (Coje) during this women’s month demonstrates that the vision of the College of Ombudsmen meets inclusion and gender equality

Manaus (AM) – The Women’s Ombudsman of the Regional Electoral Court of Amazonas (TRE-AM), judge Lídia de Abreu Carvalho, was invited to temporarily assume the presidency of the College of Electoral Justice Ombudsmen (Coje), this women’s month. She is the current vice-president of the entity. The transfer of ownership in Coje was signed by the president of the Board, judge Márcio Antônio de Sousa Moraes Júnior, on Monday (18), and will last until March 31 of this year.

For judge Lídia de Abreu Carvalho, assuming the presidency of Coje during this women’s month demonstrates that the vision of the Board of Ombudsmen meets inclusion and gender equality, constant agendas in the day-to-day life of a democratic society.

“I am deeply grateful for the opportunity and the appreciation of women in spaces of power and decision-making. A simple act, which shows Coje in tune with the women’s movement, with opportunities to show that they are capable of carrying out missions with excellence. Thank you very much to President Márcio Antônio and the entire Board. I will honor this mission, even if temporary, with a lot of commitment and dedication”,

declared Lídia de Abreu.

With International Women’s Day, celebrated on March 8, the College of Electoral Justice Ombudsmen highlighted the month as another opportunity to promote greater participation of women in leadership and management positions, valuing skills, knowledge, experience and women’s creativity.
