TRE/AM Women’s Ombudsman receives Amazonas Electoral Merit Medal

Electoral Merit Medal is a tribute and recognition to those who have greatly contributed and continue to contribute to the State Electoral Court

Manaus (AM) – In a Solemn Session held this week by the Regional Electoral Court (TRE/AM), the Women’s Ombudsman and assistant judge of the Electoral Presidency, Lídia de Abreu Carvalho, received the Medal of Electoral Merit of Amazonas, for the relevant services provided to the State’s Electoral Court . The award ceremony took place in the Des auditorium. Arthur Virgílio do Carmo Ribeiro, located in the annex building of the Court of Justice of Amazonas (Tjam), on Avenida André Araújo, Aleixo.

The president of the TRE, judge Jorge Manoel Lins, highlighted that the Electoral Merit Medal is a tribute and recognition to those who have greatly contributed and continue to contribute to the State Electoral Court.

“It is the honorary distinction, at the level of Commendation, offered by the Regional Electoral Court of Amazonas, aiming to encourage greater cooperation with the Electoral Court through the exercise of citizenship. Thus, we lead to an aggrandizement of the democratic ideal of which this jurisdiction is a guide. Congratulations to Dr Lídia de Abreu Carvalho and all the other honorees”.

With great joy and gratitude, judge Lídia de Abreu Carvalho stated that she had received this Medal of Electoral Merit, in recognition of the work she performs at the head of the Regional Electoral Court and the respective Women’s Ombudsman’s Office.

“It was a very special day. I am immensely grateful to God for the opportunity to fulfill my role as a judge and be at the forefront of sectors that positively impact life in society. Gratitude to judge Jorge Lins, president of TRE, for the opportunity, for his support, for his honesty, for his complicity. Very excited and happy to have my work recognized, as Women’s Ombudsman and assistant judge of the Electoral Presidency. Gratitude to everyone who helped me and helped me on this journey and to everyone who accompanies me. God bless each one of you,”

declared the judge.

The Amazonas Electoral Merit Medal was established by Resolution no. 9, of September 6, 2010, to honor personalities or entities that provided relevant services to the Amazonas Electoral Court.
