The mayor of Macapá, Dr. Furlan, sanctioned this Monday (11) the law that establishes September 13th as Transposition Day within the municipality of Macapá. The law was approved by the city’s Chamber of Councilors in August and recognizes the importance of the date for civil servants and former civil servants who chose to be included in the Union’s disappearing framework.

The law also authorizes the creation of a plaque or other form of souvenir in reference to Transposition Day, which aims to value and historically record people who had links with the public administration of the former territories of Amapá and Roraima or the city halls located there, on the date they were transformed into states or between the date of transformation into states, in October 1993.

According to Mayor Dr. Furlan The sanction of the law is a way of recognizing and paying tribute to the employees and former employees who played a fundamental role in the development of the municipality.

“This initiative demonstrates the importance of the work of each server and values their contributions to building a better Macapá. The exemption from the municipality’s payroll is expected to be one of the main results of the transposition, bringing positive impacts to the local economy”he highlights.

Transposition is a right guaranteed by Constitutional Amendment No. 98, of December 6, 2017, which provides for the exercise of the right of option for the inclusion in a group in extinction of the Union of people who meet any of the conditions set out in art. 31 of Constitutional Amendment No. 19, of June 4, 1998.
