Manaus (AM) – State deputy Thiago Abrahim (UB) will chair the Municipal Affairs and Regional Development Commission at the Legislative Assembly of Amazonas (Aleam).
The commissions were defined on Thursday, the 2nd, during a meeting with President Roberto Cidade (União Brasil) and the other deputies.
“In the Commission, we will address issues on public policies related to housing, civil defense and people exposed to risk situations, especially in the event of floods and ebbs, among other matters. We need to lead a better quality of life and provide this assistance to the population of Amazonas. Our municipalities suffer every year from this phenomenon and we need to have this different look”,
declared the MP.
Deputy Wilker Barreto (Citizenship) will also compose the Commission, as vice-president, and deputies Wanderley Monteiro (Avante), Mayara Pinheiro (Republicans) and Cabo Maciel (PL) as full members.
The parliamentarian will be vice-president of the Works, Heritage and Public Services commission.
A lawyer registered with the Amazonas Sectional Bar Association of Brazil (OAB/AM), Abrahim will be a member of the Constitution, Justice and Writing Committee (CCJR), one of the most important committees of the Legislative House that discusses and prepares opinions on draft laws in procedure.
The deputy is also a member of the Commissions on Education and Geodiversity, Water Resources, Mines, Gas, Energy, and Sanitation.
