An 8th year elementary school teacher was denounced by parents and students at a school in the interior of São Paulo for exposing his personal life as a transvestite in the classroom to students aged approximately 12. The speeches were recorded by students last Monday (11) and published by the local newspaper AssisCity. After the complaint, the teacher was removed from his duties.

In the recording made during the class, the educator asks whether his students “have a problem with transvestites”, because, if they do, “we can solve it with a razor”, he says. The professor also reports that she acts as “Fabiola” to earn money on the weekends and cites details of her performance.

“The transvestite Fabiola is made up of heels, tight skirts, fake breasts, big hair and makeup,” he says, noticing the uneasiness of some students. “Don’t be shocked. Have you never had a teacher who is a transvestite at night? I’m sure not, but I’m a box of surprises,” she continues.

In his speech, he also says that the salary he receives as a teacher is low and that this was the way he chose to increase his income. In fact, he states that “Fabiola” prefers “to be active than passive”, and that the client who prefers her passivity “needs to pay more”. In the recording, the teacher explains to the students what this means.

The teacher was removed and will not return to the classroom

After the complaint, the Regional Education Board of the municipality of Assis met to deal with the case. According to the São Paulo State Department of Education (Seduc-SP), a preliminary committee was installed and decided to remove the teacher from performing his duties.

According to the ministry, there is no deadline for the end of this period of absence, but it has already been decided that the teacher will not return to work in the classroom, working in administrative functions when he returns.

Also according to Seduc-SP, a conversation was held on Wednesday (13) with the students involved in the situation in order to discuss what happened. “A psychologist from the Psychologists at School program also accompanies the unit to intensify conflict mediation strategies with a focus on the culture of peace and respect for others,” the ministry said in a note.
