Teacher fired after kissing student on the mouth during pre-university course

A traditional private school in Fortaleza, Ceará, fired one of its teachers after students posted a video on social media of the educator kissing a student on the mouth in class. The images circulated on social media in recent days and generated numerous criticisms regarding the employee’s attitude.

“I should never work as a teacher,” wrote one Instagram user. “I’m from the time when people went to school to study”, published another. Many messages were also posted on the institution’s X network requesting a firm position from the school regarding the fact.

In view of this, Gazeta do Povo contacted the Farias Brito Educational Organization, which stated that it did not admit “a stance incompatible with the Institution’s values”.

In a note sent to the report, the network reported that the situation was recorded at the end of a pre-university course class on March 18th and that it reveals “the conduct of a teacher in disagreement” with the rules of the educational network.

Also according to the institution, as soon as the administration became aware of the act, “the teacher was immediately dismissed because his attitude did not reflect the principles of the school which, in the last seven years, was in first place in Brazil in Enem and approved more in ITA/ IME”, he informed.

The Fortaleza institution was founded in 1935 and, according to information published on the network’s website, its pedagogical mission is to develop the intellectual potential of its students and to train students with a historical-critical view of society, prepared for the “construction of a more fair and democratic”.

Another teacher was dismissed in São Paulo

On March 11, another 8th year elementary school teacher was denounced by parents and students at a school in the interior of São Paulo for exposing his personal life as a transvestite in the classroom.

According to recordings made by the approximately 12-year-old students, the educator asked whether the students had “any problems with transvestites” because, if they did, they would resolve it “with a razor.” The teacher also reported that she acted as “Fabiola” to earn money on the weekends and cited details of her performance. He was removed from his role.
