TCU defines that local courts must supervise amendments Pix – 02/04/2023 – Panel

The TCU (Tribunal de Contas da União) has established an understanding that the control of the application of special transfers to prefectures, called “Pix amendments”, is up to the state and municipal accounts courts.
The TCU will only examine whether the conditions for the transfer were observed. The position follows the recommendation of Atricon, an entity that brings together the country’s audit courts.
The Pix amendments make it possible to speed up the transfer of funds to states and municipalities, without being linked to specific projects, which makes inspection by control bodies difficult.
