Tabata meets with Sarrubbo to talk about security – 02/29/2024 – Panel

Federal deputy and pre-candidate for Mayor of São Paulo, Tabata Amaral (PSB) met with the attorney general of São Paulo, Mário Sarrubbo, on Monday (26). At the meeting, they discussed projects linked to the public security agenda that the parliamentarian will present in Congress.

Invited by Minister Ricardo Lewandowski, Sarrubbo will take over the National Public Security Secretariat of the Lula (PT) government this Friday (1st).

“The attorney general has experience in fighting crime. It was essential to hear from him about the main security problems here in the capital, such as robberies and thefts, not only because this will support my government plan, but also because it will help me in work as a deputy”, says Tabata.

Leandro Piquet, coordinator of the security working group for the pre-candidate’s government plan, also participated in the meeting.

At the meeting, the parliamentarian also expressed concern about the billion-dollar process of renewing urban waste collection contracts in the capital. The Ricardo Nunes (MDB) management contracted studies from Fipe (Fundação Instituto de Pesquisas Econômicas) to evaluate the modeling to be applied.

Tabata said he feared that the extension would be done without bidding. The Public Ministry of São Paulo has an ongoing investigation into the matter.
