Pre-candidate for mayor of São Paulo, federal deputy Tabata Amaral (PSB) intensified her contacts with senior tucana leaders in search of an alliance for the municipal campaign.
This week, she was with federal deputy Aécio Neves (MG), one of the most influential figures in the party. The main theme was the invitation for the tucanos to nominate their vice-president.
Although he defends his own candidacy in the capital of São Paulo, Aécio said he was very impressed with the deputy and advocated that she move forward in conversations with party leaders in the city.
Among Tabata’s allies in the PSB, the possibility of attracting the toucans is seen with optimism. The new president of the Tucano directory in the capital of São Paulo, José Aníbal, does not hide his sympathy for her.
In the PSDB, there is the expectation that Tabata could be an ally in the 2026 presidential campaign, if a coalition in the city of São Paulo is closed now.
