An excerpt from the 1,023-page process kept in the archives of the canton of Bern, capital of Switzerland, states that there was Cuca’s semen in the body of a 13-year-old teenager who was the victim of a sexual crime that occurred in 1987, according to the Globoesporte.com website.
The portal states that the confirmation was given by the director of the institution, Barbara Studer. According to the website, she read the entirety of the process and agreed to show an excerpt from a page containing the sentence in the case, handed down by the Criminal Court of Bern in August 1989. The document has been under seal for 110 years.
In order not to violate this secrecy, she only confirmed information about the process that was released by the Swiss press at the time, such as Cuca’s semen on the victim’s body, the fact that she recognized him and the girl’s suicide attempt.
“I can say that what is in the article [do jornal] is correct. Really what is proven is that there was a sexual situation with a minor, aged thirteen,” Barbara Studer told GE.
A week ago, when he was presented in what turned out to be a quick spell at the helm of Corinthians, the coach denied the accusations and said he was the victim of a lynching.

The names of the four defendants are listed on the case page released by Globoesporte.com: Alexi Stival (Cuca), Henrique Etges, Eduardo Hamester and Fernando Castoldi. The four were Grêmio players at the time of the crime. They were tried and convicted of a sexual act with a minor and coercion.
