Aggression

Alex Zanatta Bignotto told the PF this Sunday that he did not offend Minister Alexandre de Moraes in Rome

Sao Paulo-SP) – One of the three Brazilians suspected of harassing Minister Alexandre de Moraes, of the Federal Supreme Court (STF), last Friday (14th), at Rome International Airport, testified this Sunday morning (16th) at the headquarters of the Federal Police (PF) in Piracicaba, in the interior of São Paulo.

To the PF, Alex Zanatta Bignotto denied having uttered offenses to the magistrate, according to the lawyer Ralph Tórtima Stettinger Filho, who represents him and the other two suspects, the couple Andreia and Roberto Mantovani Filho. The latter allegedly attacked Moraes’ son at the airport.

“There was nothing directed at the minister, there was no offense, they deny it”, said the lawyer. According to him, his clients only witnessed Alexandre de Moraes being insulted by other people inside the airport, while waiting to access the VIP lounge.

“It is at this time that there is a mixture there, of Roberto’s wife with another woman who was in the group with Minister Alexandre. And then there is an argument between these two women. That’s what happens. There was no offense on their part to Minister Alexandre de Moraes. They weren’t there for that. They were returning from a trip with children, a two-year-old and a four-year-old. It was a mess, and look what it generated”

tells Metrópoles lawyer Ralph Tórtima Stettinger Filho.

On Saturday night (15), the PF launched an inquiry to investigate the episode. The Mantovani couple would also give testimony this Sunday morning, but said they already had a trip scheduled and should provide clarification next Tuesday (18).

aggressions

Alexandre Moraes returned to Brazil with his family on Friday (14th), after attending a lecture at the International Law Forum, at the University of Siena.

According to the PF, the family was approached at Rome International Airport by a woman identified as Andreia, who cursed the minister of “bandit, communist and bought”.

The minister’s son was allegedly physically attacked by businessman Roberto Mantovani Filho, 71, Andreia’s husband. The couple lives in Santa Bárbara D’Oeste, in the interior of São Paulo.
