This Wednesday (25), the Military Police of Amapá, through the Directorate of Social Action and Citizenship (DASC/PMAP), delivered sports and educational materials to children and teenagers who are part of the corporation’s social projects, in allusion to Children’s Day.

More than 5 thousand children and teenagers received football boots, punching bags, uniforms, balls, punch pads, among other materials, totaling R$75 thousand. In addition to the materials, there was music and snack distribution.

“It is a great celebration for the Military Police to deliver these materials. This is our preventive work [PM]that we realized that we needed to act in the lives of children and adolescents who were on the streets and needed this special attention”, said the acting director of DASC, Major Alex Sandro.

In addition to Macapá, the Military Police has social sports and citizenship projects in the municipalities of Santana, Tartarugalzinho, Porto Grande, Pedra Branca, Serra do Navio and Ferreira Gomes.

“We are expanding our projects. We took a break due to the pandemic and returned last year with actions in other municipalities. We have, for example, the Cidadão Mirim project, in Tartarugalzinho, and Peixinhos Voadores, in Mazagão”, said the Major.

The Social Programs Division coordinates and controls the Cidadão Mirim, Digital Inclusion Telecenter, Proerd, Champions of Tomorrow, Martial Arts (capoeira) and Peixinhos Voadores programs that develop their activities in centers and schools and at the PMAP General Command Headquarters, serving children and adolescents at risk and socially vulnerable.
