The councilors of the Capital decided to maintain the partial veto, this Monday (24), to the bill that removed the obligation of revolving doors in bank branches. The decision had been forwarded by the executive and was awaiting deliberation by parliamentarians. The vote on the matter was attended by unions and workers in the category.
The project had been filed by councilor Ramiro Rosário (PSDB) and approved by the Chamber in December of last year. The matter was just awaiting the deliberation of Mayor Sebastião Melo (MDB). With the decision taken, the executive forwarded a veto that provided for the exclusion of item I – which established that the use of revolving doors was not mandatory in agencies that had a Security Plan approved by the Federal Police.
With the decision of the councilors for the maintenance of the veto, the obligation of security equipment in agencies with movement of cash in kind is maintained. The exemption of revolving doors will only be valid for Service Stations and Electronic Service Stations.
The new legislation also maintains, even at those posts where the installation of equipment is waived, the maintenance of an uninterrupted monitoring system on a 24-hour basis, seven days a week.
