The government of President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) is going to set up a crisis office in Congress to monitor the mixed CPI of the January 8 coup attacks.
The reading of the application to install the commission should take place next Wednesday (26).
The objective will be to create a base to raise documents, organize requests, look for weaknesses in the opposition, subsidize parliamentarians, among other points. The location has yet to be defined, but it is likely to be at the government’s leadership in Congress.
After seeing the installation of the mixed CPI as inevitable, the government started to support it and now wants to turn the game against Bolsonaristas.
On the part of the Executive, a first meeting took place this Monday (24) so that the ministries involved that may be involved in the facts ascertained by the commission prepare, gather documents and appoint members of the folders who can assist in the work of the crisis cabinet.
The meeting took place at the Planalto Palace, with ministers Alexandre Padilha (SRI), Paulo Pimenta (Secom), Flávio Dino (Justice), and government leaders in the Senate, Jaques Wagner (PT-BA), and in the Chamber (PT -CE). Members of the Civil House, AGU, CGU and Defense also participated.
The portfolios are considered the main ones involved in the joint committee and should act closer to day-to-day activities.
