Senators Marcos Rogério (PL-RO) and Rogério Marinho (PL-RN) called the Public Ministry, the Court of Auditors and the Federal Revenue Service to investigate the R$ 2.4 million received by Sleeping Giants in the years 2022 and 2023. Those responsible for transferring the funds were the Ford Foundation and the Open Society Foundation, according to the balance published on the entities’ own websites.

Senator Marcos Rogério published on his Instagram account that he sent “a request for investigation to the Public Ministry and adoption of measures by the Federal Revenue Service and the Court of Auditors”. In the petition sent by Marinho to the IRS, the senator asks the agency to investigate alleged irregularities in the management of Sleeping Giants.

Both the Open Society, led by billionaire George Soros, and the Ford Foundation are known for financing NGOs and left-wing agendas such as the defense of abortion and the decriminalization of abortion.

The Sleeping Giants practice intimidating vehicles that are positioned opposite to the left. Among the actions, the institution seeks to pressure companies to cancel advertising contracts with the vehicles and, thus, achieve the revenue of their targets, as happened with Jovem Pan and itself People’s Gazette. Last Thursday (25), the NGO had yet another defeat in the legal process for defamation, which was opened by Jovem Pan.
