Minha Casa, Minha Vida provides housing assistance to low-income families. According to the approved text, there will be three income ranges for beneficiaries, ranging up to R$ 8,000 per month. In urban areas, bracket 1 is for families with a gross monthly household income of up to R$2,640; range 2 goes up to R$ 4.4 thousand; and range 3 up to R$ 8 thousand.
The mixed commission that approved the text of the MP was chaired by Senator Eduardo Braga (MDB-AM). He presented a proposal to the opinion that includes women victims of domestic or family violence among the segments prioritized by Minha Casa, Minha Vida. In addition, Braga proposed the inclusion of residents of risk areas and people who lost homes due to natural disasters in the list of priorities. The suggestions were accepted by the rapporteur.
