Typical South American ingredients and preparations are the theme of a series of dinners held to celebrate the one-year anniversary of Selvagem, a restaurant in Ibirapuera Park (av. Quarto Centenário, 454, gate 5, Vila Mariana).
Chef Filipe Leite invites cooks from the mainland to create menus. The first meeting is this Thursday (22nd), at 7:30 pm, with recipes by Paulo Machado, a chef specializing in Pantanal cuisine.
The duo prepares dishes such as alligator meat brandade, Pantanal moqueca and dulce de leche pudding. The meal is harmonized with drinks made with items such as cachaça and guavira fruit, signed by mixologist Jairo Gama.
The next guest on the project, named Alma Selvagem, is chef Luciana Lopes da Silva, from the restaurant El Abrazo, in Uruguay.
Dinner costs BRL 290 per person and includes service, welcome cocktail, water and coffee. Reservations by phone (11) 5198-0844.
