See how deputies voted in mini-electoral reform – 09/14/2023 – Power

With the support of the majority of benches, the basic text of the so-called mini electoral reform — part of the package that aims to loosen legislation and benefit parties and politicians — was approved this Wednesday (13) by the Chamber of Deputies by 367 votes to 86.
Only PSOL, Rede and Novo were against the proposal. The party bloc that brings together MDB, PSD, Republicans and Podemos freed up the bench so that deputies could vote as they wished. The other parties instructed their parliamentarians to support the text.
The two projects that make up the mini-reform are part of a broader offensive of electoral changes with support from the right, left and center. The package also includes the PECs (Proposed Amendment to the Constitution) for Amnesty and Women.
Promoted by the president of the House, Arthur Lira (PP-AL), the proposals make quota laws more flexible for black people and women, weaken the Clean Record and Improbity laws and shorten the time for candidates to be ineligible, in addition to reducing transparency of the electoral process, among other points.
Highlights that can change sections of the text will be voted on on Thursday (14). After the Chamber, the proposal will still have to pass through the Senate before being submitted for sanction by President Lula (PT). See below how each federal deputy voted this Wednesday.
