On the busy Rua dos Estudantes, in the Liberdade neighborhood – famous for its concentration of Asian immigrants –, a new establishment catches the attention of those passing through the area. Power Pop serves snacks inspired by Japanese cuisine and offers hot dogs filled with yakissoba and chicken katsu (chicken breaded with panko flour).

On site, the customer can choose the bread that will make up the sandwich (green, pink or brioche). The available fillings are: yakissoba with chicken katsu (R$ 24), yakissoba with mixed sausage and miso sauce (R$ 22), mixed sausage with cabbage and torched mozzarella cheese (R$ 20), yakissoba (R$ 18) and chicken katsu with cabbage (R$ 22). All snacks are finished with Kewpie mayonnaise, widely consumed in Japan. For vegans, there is an option that comes with shimeji mushrooms and mayonnaise produced without eggs (R$ 20)

The menu also offers hot rolls, with salmon and cream cheese. To try them, you need to pay R$18 (eight pieces) or R$30 (16 pieces).

To drink, the menu features sodas made with carbonated water, ice, fruit syrup and small pieces of coconut cream with a texture similar to gelatin (R$ 15). Flavors include passion fruit, lychee, melon and strawberry. There are also versions of cream soda. The preparation takes a scoop of cream ice cream and is available in the same flavors (R$ 20).
