Registration is open until March 17th for the 20th edition of the Science Film Festival, the largest scientific film festival in the world, which will have net zero and the circular economy as its theme.

Productions in any format — short films, animations, documentaries or series — will be accepted, as long as they have been made from January 2021 onwards. The works do not necessarily need to fit into the theme of the edition.

The selected productions will compete for six prizes of €500 each (approximately R$2,600). The work recognized as the most impactful within the edition’s theme will also receive a supplement of €1,000 (around R$5,300) to the value of the prize.

During the festival, which runs from October to December, films will be shown in museums, schools, universities and other educational venues in participating countries. In the last edition, 150 films were presented, from 35 countries, to more than half a million spectators.

To register, which is free, you must fill out a form and send a copy of the production, with English subtitles. More information can be found at this link.
