Scarpa and Mayke sue Willian if Justice blocks account – 03/10/2023 – Sport

The Justice of São Paulo determined that the accounts of the company Xland, its partners and of a consultancy linked to the striker Willian Bigode, be blocked, for two processes opened by the also athletes Gustavo Scarpa and Mayke, who allege a loss of around R$ 11 million for investments made with the group.
In total, the blocked amount was approximately R$ 13 million.
The players say they received Xland’s nomination through the company WLCJ Consultoria, which has Willian Bigode as a partner.
Mayke says he invested BRL 4.5 million, and should have a return of BRL 3.2 million. Scarpa, in turn, invested BRL 6.3 million in Xland. Neither of the two, however, managed to get the amounts back when they tried to recover the investments.
They say they had a friendly relationship with Willian. Therefore, they placed their trust in the player, who later referred them to Xland to carry out the investments. In Mayke’s case, he was even a WLJC customer.
In the case of Mayke, the loss was around R$ 7.4 million. Judge Christopher Alexander Roisin, from the 14th Civil Court of São Paulo, ordered the blocking of the accounts of Xland’s partners and a company linked to Willian.
In Scarpa’s case, judge Danilo Castro determined last week that the accounts of both WLJC and its partners, including Willian Bigode, be blocked, up to the limit of the value of the action, of R$ 5.3 million.
In a note sent to the report, Willian Bigode and the company WLJC said they were victims of Xland, having made investments of R$ 17.5 million that, even though the ransom request was made in November last year, have not yet been returned.
It should be noted that the company WLJC is not a broker, much less has the power to make investments on behalf of its clients, acting exclusively in the field of financial planning.
Mayke is a client of the company WLJC that provides financial planning services. It should be noted that with regard to Scarpa, information was only provided in relation to Xland and the procedure for investing, since it does not have a service provision contract with WLJC.
It is important to point out that the entire contractual relationship, involving investment in cryptoassets, took place directly by Mayke and Scarpa with Xland, with all invested amounts transferred directly to Xland’s accounts.
