Sala Redenção presents Spanish, French and German films in an exhibition celebrating Europe Day

In partnership with the French Alliance, the Cervantes Institute and the Goethe Institute, Redemption Room (Rua Eng. Luiz Englert, 333) presents the exhibition Europe week in Porto Alegre. In poster of Tuesday (9) until May 19the program runs through the cinematography from France, Spain and Germany, showing three films from each country. The show has sessions from Monday to Friday, at 4 pm and 7 pm, with free entrance and open to the community at large.

merging classics and recent productions, the program presents different perspectives of European cinema. Among the films shown is the French Folly of a Springfrom acclaimed director Louis Mallewhich addresses the relationship of a family in the midst of the May 1968 strikes. Directly from Spain, artichokes, the recent winner of the Golden Bear at the Berlin Film Festival, portrays land rights and the way of life of farmers in a small Catalan town. Finally, representing Germany, the thriller The Lives of Others tells the story of a Stasi officer in East Germany and the conflict between his professional activity and his humanity. The program also includes six other films, which allow exploring French, Spanish and German cultures.
