Romeu Zema grows in popularity during discussion of tax reform – Gazeta do Povo

During the disagreement (already resolved) between former president Jair Bolsonaro and the governor of São Paulo, Tarcísio de Freitas, over tax reform, another name from the right emerged on the Digital Popularity Index (IPD), calculated by the consultancy Quaest.
Romeu Zema, governor of Minas Gerais, had the greatest growth among the names analyzed, such as Tarcísio, former first lady Michelle Bolsonaro, senator and former minister Tereza Cristina, and governors Eduardo Leite (Rio Grande do Sul), Ratinho Jr. (Paraná) and Cláudio Castro (Rio de Janeiro).
The analysis of the names comes after the decision of the Superior Electoral Court (TSE) that made Bolsonaro ineligible, paving the way for a new name to position itself as a possible right-wing candidate in the 2026 presidential elections.
