According to Cidade, the creation of new economic viability generates new opportunities in several segments

Manaus (AM) – State deputy Roberto Cidade (UB), president of the Legislative Assembly of Amazonas (Aleam), resumed his travel schedule through the interior of the State fulfilling his agenda in Barreirinha (distant 330 km from Manaus). In the municipality, the parliamentarian was one of the speakers at the seminar “Cidadania em Pauta”, promoted by Rádio Ariramba, in partnership with the City Hall of Barreirinha and the City Council.

In his speech, the deputy spoke of the importance of diversifying the economic matrices in the state of Amazonas, thus allowing there to be less dependence on the Manaus Free Trade Zone (ZFM) model. Cidade defended, once again, that economic viability studies be carried out in the municipalities of the State in order to make known the potential of each region.

“Each city has to be a hub city, there needs to be a different look for each region, for each city in the Amazon. My suggestion to the Association of Municipalities is that it join forces with Aleam and the State Executive, so that a specific study is carried out for each municipality in the State, so that we can explore, with responsibility, economic matrices in each municipality. Here in Barreirinha, a tourist center for sport fishing can be created”,

According to Cidade, the creation of new economic viability chain generates new opportunities in several segments, such as in the social, citizenship, employment and income generation areas.

“I participated in the meeting of the Amazonian Parliament in Belém and I could see that the capital of Pará is not the one that collects the most, unlike Manaus, which concentrates 90% of the collection and economy of the state of Amazonas. We need to unburden Manaus and this is done by creating opportunities for municipalities in the interior. We need to think about and develop a regional policy that encourages the economy with sustainability, which has greater collection of ISS. Year after year there is an increase in population, expenses and demands and for citizenship and social responsibility to exist we need other opportunities, we need to encourage the interior to produce wealth”,

Still inland, the deputy president fulfills his agenda, this Saturday, in Boa Vista do Ramos, and at the beginning of next week, in Manicoré and Humaitá.
