Residents of Habitacional Macapaba will gain a Sports Complex – News of Brazil

This Wednesday (17), Macapá City Hall announced the construction of the Sports Complex at Habitacional Macapaba, located in the North Zone of the capital. The Service Order (YOU) was signed by the Chief Executive, Dr. Furlan, in ceremony.
The Municipal Department of Works and Urban Infrastructure (Semob) will be the executor and supervisor of activities involving the construction of a synthetic grass field; two bleachers; voiceover booth; lighting; multi-sports court; two sand fields; fences; Family Space; landscaping; urbanization; paving; banks; trash cans and wooden pergolas.
The mayor Dr. Furlan considered that Municipal management has the autonomy to provide assistance to the Housing population.
“The investment that will be made is equal to the Praça Nossa Senhora de Fátima Sports Complex and a little more. All city hall services operate in Macapaba. We opened the Macapaba Basic Health Unit, with 129 thousand general services in 2023. We installed 313 LED lamps, planted beautiful green trees, in addition to other actions”he stressed.
The total size of the built area is approximately 13,456 square meters. The investment is R$4,939,230.50 from the Municipal Treasury.
Around 120 young people from the community rely on a project that offers judo, jiu-jitsu and wrestling classes. The son of the housewife, Kátia Milene, is one of the participants. “The construction of the sports complex will be important. It will cover more children in socially vulnerable situations. Occupying their minds with healthy activities will get rid of bad things.”he said.
The head of the Municipal Department of Sport and Leisure (Semel), Bruno Igreja, highlighted the department’s initiatives for sport in Conjunto.
“From the Sports and Leisure Coordination, management was a partner with Macapaba, in all sports actions and social projects. We served children with kimonos and participation in free places in the biggest martial arts sporting event in the state, which took place at the Federal Institute of Amapá, among others”.
“We needed this space. We have some community centers and small courts. This will benefit the community in the Macapaba I and II football tournaments. It is a privilege to be honored with this complex”, highlighted the president of the Residents Association, Eliezer Ferreira.
