The Government of Amapá has opened registrations for arbitration courses and wrestling clinic in Macapá. The initiative aims to promote the training of new professionals and disseminate knowledge about the sport in the state. Enrollment must be done through the state management portal.
Interested parties must register online by April 5th. Wrestling (Luta Livre) is a martial art that uses throwing and grappling techniques to maintain a superior position over the opponent. The two courses are aimed at physical education teachers, as well as coaches and athletes aged 18 or over.
Coordinated by the State Secretariat for Sports and Leisure, Sedel, the courses are taught by professionals from the Brazilian Wrestling Confederation, in partnership with the Amapá School Sports Federation and the Integrated Training and Improvement Academy.
“The courses will cover essential topics for the role of referees in wrestling competitions, such as the rules of the sport, ethical conduct, arbitration procedures and technical aspects. We believe that the dissemination of knowledge about wrestling is essential for the growth and appreciation of the sport in our state”highlighted the secretary of sport and leisure, Rudney Nunes.
The wrestling refereeing classes will take place from April 12th to 14th, from 9:30 am to 11:30 am, and from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm, at the Integrated Training and Improvement Academy, located on Rua 3, in the Mara Baixo 2 neighborhood. The wrestling practical clinic workshops will take place from the 14th to the 21st of this month, from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm, also at the Integrated Training and Improvement Academy.
