Registration open for arbitration course and wrestling clinic – News of Brazil

The Government of Amapá, in partnership with the Brazilian Wrestling Confederation, opened registrations for arbitration courses and wrestling clinic in Macapá. The initiative aims to promote the training of new professionals and disseminate knowledge about the sport in the state. Enrollment must be done through the state management portal.
Interested parties must register by April 5th, online. Wrestling is a martial art that uses throwing and grappling techniques to maintain a superior position over the opponent.
The two courses are aimed at physical education teachers, as well as coaches and athletes aged 18 or over. Coordinated by the State Secretariat for Sports and Leisure, Sedel, the courses are taught by professionals from the Brazilian Wrestling Confederation, in partnership with the Amapá School Sports Federation and the Integrated Training and Improvement Academy.
“The courses will cover essential topics for the role of referees in wrestling competitions, such as the rules of the sport, ethical conduct, arbitration procedures and technical aspects. We believe that the dissemination of knowledge about wrestling is essential for the growth and appreciation of the sport in our state”highlighted the secretary of sport and leisure, Rudney Nunes.
Flavio Cabral, president of CBW, celebrated the partnership: “We are very happy, the state secretariat and the local confederation have made great moves in wrestling, especially in the grassroots category. That’s why we are promoting the training of referees and athletes”he declared.
The Iranian coach, Morteza Alizadeh, With extensive experience in school wrestling, he runs a seminar for coaches. The referees Caroline Santana, twice elected distinguished referee in Pans, and Marco Dantas, nominated as CBW’s best referee of 2023, they will lead the arbitration course.
The wrestling refereeing classes will take place from April 12th to 14th, from 9:30 am to 11:30 am, and from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm, at the Integrated Training and Improvement Academy, located on Rua 3 in the Mara Baixo 2 neighborhood. The wrestling practical clinic workshops will take place from the 14th to the 21st of this month, from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm, also at the Integrated Training and Improvement Academy.
CBW is the Brazilian Wrestling Confederation, the entity responsible for national wrestling in its Greco-Roman, men’s freestyle and women’s freestyle styles. In addition to also managing beach wrestling, a non-Olympic sport.
Currently, the CBW is chaired by Flavio Cabral Neves. The entity’s main objective is to make national sport a reference, strengthening its affiliated federations and investing in the grassroots categories to propagate the sport. CBW is affiliated with the Brazilian Olympic Committee, United World Wrestling and United World Wrestling Americas, and has support from the Brazilian Doping Control Authority, Estácio and the Brazilian Club Committee.
