The leader of the government in the National Congress, Senator Randolfe Rodrigues (Rede-AP), met, this Thursday (19), with the Vice President of the Republic and Minister of Development, Industry, Commerce and Services, Geraldo Alckmin. At the meeting, the measures to be adopted for the definitive implementation of the Free Green Zone (ZFV) in Macapá and Santana were discussed.

According to Randolfe, actions will be taken to guarantee the operation of the space, which will be configured as a great economic center, allowing the installation of industries with the manufacture of products that use raw material from the biodiversity of Amapá.

Since 2011 Randolfe has defended the Zona Franca Verde in Amapá as one of the economic outlets for generating employment and income, in addition to diversifying the local industry.

There were several actions by the ZFV, which even involved neighboring states, such as Manaus and Belém. The parliamentarian was also responsible for authoring Law 1.753/19, which guarantees tax exemption on industrialized products in free trade areas, such as Macapá and Santana.
